Cadence Design Systems licenses DealBuilder ContractExpress for news NDA contract lifecycle management system

Cadence Design Systems, Inc. of San Jose, CA has licensed DealBuilder as the basis of its new Non Disclose Agreement (NDA) contract lifecycle management system.

Gabrielle Walker, Cadence's AGC responsible for NDAs, stated that Cadence has to manage both its own confidential information and the confidential information of its customers. Gabrielle continued, "The large number of disclosures of confidential information, the different obligations placed on the use of that information by its owners, and the government's export control regulations makes this a challenging problem, but one that has to be solved".

Cadence also wants to improve the way that NDAs are created. "In a fast moving marketplace, it really isn't acceptable for the legal department to take weeks to produce a NDA before the business people can start discussing new opportunities". "We want to give business people a means to answer a series of intuitive questions online and then either immediately generate a NDA or route them to Legal depending on their answers."

"This way everyone should win. And the data used to manage the NDAs is likely to be more accurate and reliable since it is the same data that is used to generate the NDA in the first place."
Cadence will be installing DealBuilder at its San Jose, CA, facility. Business Integrity's development team will be working with Cadence's legal specialists over the next six months to further develop DealBuilder to provide a complete end-to-end NDA lifecycle management system.
