Henkel Corporation, the Connecticut based US subsidiary of Henkel AG of Düsseldorf, Germany, has licensed DealBuilder ContractExpress for creating and managing non disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Henkel develops and manufactures many specialty chemicals used in a wide range of industries including high tech and defense.
"For an industry such as ours which invests a lot of money in R&D with many potential patents it's important that we both properly protect our intellectual property while not impeding our business development initiatives", commented Debora Welch, Henkel's AGC responsible for the NDA project. " NDA Express will enable us to reduce the time required to get a new NDA in place, while improving our ability to protect our IP and increasing business compliance."
DealBuilder ContractExpress NDA (often called "NDA Express" by its users) is a self-service contract lifecycle management system for NDAs. Business users are able to quickly and easily search for an existing NDA, and if one doesn't exist, are able to complete an intuitive and intelligent online questionnaire that determines according to Legal's predefined rules whether to generate a new NDA in minutes or route the user to Legal for specialized help.
Tim Allen, Business Integrity's US CEO commented, "ContractExpress was developed to satisfy the demanding requirements of protecting and licensing intellectual property across fast moving IP rich organizations. It builds on the unique capabilities of DealBuilder document assembly used and trusted by the world's leading law firms and corporate legal departments. We are very pleased to be working with Paul Berry (Henkel's US GC) and his team."
